CWG recognizes that the skills and knowledge of its employees are critical to the success of the organization. Benefits include College Reimbursement Program, Education Course Reimbursement Program and Training and Education at Continental Western Group. The educational assistance programs encourage personal development through formal education to maintain and improve job-related skills or enhance employees' ability to compete for reasonably attainable jobs within CWG.
College and Education Course Reimbursement Programs
Available to eligible full-time employees after six months of employment, the program reimburses up to a maximum of $5,250 each year. Specific courses are considered for approval based on relationship to the employee's job assignment, appropriateness to company needs and the submitted degree plan outlining the courses required for degree completion if college related. College courses should be presented by an accredited institution to qualify for the program.
Web-based Educational Skills Program
CWG offers over 200 courses through a convenient web-based format. Offerings include a wide variety of training opportunities to enhance critical business, professional and IT skills. Business Skills course topics may include Personal Development, Leadership, Communication, Management, Team Building, Safety and Health, Finance and Accounting. Basic and advanced computer skills courses are available for individual software programs through complex programming technology. Segmented into short sessions, the courses and supplemental reading materials allow employees to learn at their own pace. Access the training from any online computer at anytime. Just one more way CWG and its employees are keeping a leading edge on learning and development.
Specialized Training and Mentoring Program
CWG has formed a designated training program for new Underwriters. The program utilizes the experience of existing Underwriters and promotes a mentor relationship to build the skills and confidence of new Underwriter employees. CWG's home office expansion includes a state of the art educational training facility to lead such specialized training needs.
